"Tardes de Palabras y Expresión" is the evolution of our previous ongoing monthly literary series, "Danzas con Palabras." "Tardes de Palabras y Expresión" is now focused upon Cabo Rojo's youth who are involved with the arts--literature, fine arts, drama, and more. That's not to say that adults will no longer be featured--they occasionally will--but rather, the majority of events will feature youth.
The goals of these events are multiple: celebrate youth active in the arts, provide space for young writers and artists to express themselves, and inspire other young writers and artists.
Mostly, we want to provide opportunities to listen to others--their hopes and fears, moments of bliss and heartbreak, and diverse perspectives--we want to listen to stories that may be very different from our own. We hope you join us.
