Fresh Fruit is a work of philosophical fiction in which, through a series of a few minor circumstances, the unnamed first-person narrator on his way to a destination wedding in the islands, finds himself approaching an existential crisis. Through memory, reflection, experience, and the interplay between them all, existence under the arrow of time imposes itself and questions of being and authenticity. Ultimately, does our narrator find himself on a path toward enlightenment or damnation . . . or something else…
